As a part of its extensive efforts to create a better community, Advance Financial has appointed Shantrelle Edmondson as the VP of community outreach. The company’s CEO, Mike Hodges, “Nashville is our home and it’s important to do everything we can to make this a better place for our children. With Shantrelle’s deep ties to the Nashville community we will be able to enhance our efforts to help the community.” Edmondson will be overseeing community engagement, grant giving and the creation of volunteer activities for AF’s staff. She said, “We focus mainly on four areas: children, youth, education and financial literacy, and health and wellness. AF believes that corporate organizations have a social responsibility to help develop the communities in which they operate. We work hard and will continue to do so to meet this great responsibility.” As of now, Advance Financial supports the Black Police Association, Habitat for Humanity, the Bootstraps Foundation and other organizations. The Advance Financial Foundation was recently honoured by Hands On Nashville for Fight Night – a charity boxing exhibition. The proceeds are given to Not Alone, a 501(c)3 organization that provides free counselling services for veterans and their families. The whole event is funded by AF. Hodges said, “We are grateful that our business provides us the resources to fulfil our responsibility to our community. Shantrelle will help us take it to the next level.” Advance Financial is a service provider, based in Nashville, offering 24/7 financial services such as money orders, prepaid cards, cash check and lines of credit.
